Things are looking up..
So above is Miss Camryn Kay...she has her hand in a fist up by her eye. I love being able to get the 3d/4d ultrasounds. They are so neat but who know she could look totally different from what she looks like here when she is born. As for now (by looking at the picture) Andy and I are thinking we have a bald little girl with big lips, chubby cheeks, and a little button nose. We can't wait to meet her in person and see what she really looks like. Ok on to the doctor news...We had appointments with our regular doctor, Dr. White and our specialist, Dr. Kirshon. Camryn's heartbeat was 145 when it was checked at Dr. White's office. At Dr. Kirshon's office is where we find out all the important news. He checked her bowel again and found that it hasn't gotten worse and her bowel isn't dilating so he pretty much ruled out that it's a bowel obstruction. Thank God for that because she won't have to have surgery when she is born if this is the case. The bowel that is echogenic is her large intestine which is also good news because most of the time for it to be cystic fibrosis it's the small intestine that is echogenic. Although it can be the large intestine, it is rare. So he kept our chances of cystic fibrosis at 10% but seemed hopeful that it's not. He set our chances of it being nothing at a hard 80% YaY! So as of now he really made us feel like she just had some really hard poo poo stuck in there but things can always change (keep your fingers crossed that it won't). We will go back to visit Dr. Kirshon in 3 weeks to see if the echogenic bowel has grown or dilated. As of right now...we will still have Camryn at the same hospital with Dr. White unless things take a turn for the worse but we have faith and know that it wont. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and more wouldn't hurt to keep our little chubbby cheeked baby safe :) Love y'all!

Not so great news..

Ok...so before I start I want to talk about my ultrasound pictures. The top two are in 3d and you can see Camryn's face and you can already tell she has her Daddy's big lips :) If you look at the third pic down you will see our little sunshine shooting us the finger...my guess is she really wanted to be left alone. The last picture is just the profile of her face. Now, on to the less exciting news. Friday the 18th, Andy and I went to the doctor for a normal check up and our doctor had us get an ultrasound to make sure my fluid levels were good. After our ultrasound we went in to see the doctor, which I actually saw the midwife that appointment because Dr. White was out of town. When she came in she told us that the ultrasound tech had found that our baby had an echogenic bowel which is a bright white spot in her large intestine. Of course like any normal parents would do...we got worried and started asking her questions. She just kept saying we don't know anything we will have to send you to a specialist. So we got an appointment set up for Wednesday the 23rd with Dr. Kirshon at Houston Perinatal Associates who specializes in high risk pregnancies. So yesterday we went and saw him and he looked at little Camryn and said that there is definitely an echogenic bowel which he basically explained is calcified meconium. He told us that there is a 10% chance she has cystic fibrosis, a small chance that it could be a bowel blockage and she would have to have part of her intestine removed when she is born and she would have to wear a bag to use the restroom in, and there is a 70 to 80% chance that it could end up being nothing. I know that 70 to 80% chance of it being nothing is awesome but I just cant stop thinking about that 10% chance. It has been kind of hard on me but Andy is helping me keep my head up. Of course I have been making the biggest mistake ever by reading online about everything we have found out and I just scare myself more. Nothing will be known for sure about little Camie's condition until she is born but we are praying for the best. We go back next Wednesday to both doctors and we will find out if it has gotten better, worse, or has stayed the same, once we know this then the percentages may change. To those of you who have called me in the past few days...I most likely haven't returned your calls and I am very sorry for that and hope you can understand. I appreciate everyone's concern but it is just hard for me to continually explain it multiple times when all it does is make me cry and worry. I am trying to keep my mind off of it because nothing can be done to change it we will just have to wait and see. Please keep our daughter in your prayers. Thanks!Friday, June 11, 2010

Moving, Marriage and Bedrest!
So Andy and I are officially married as of March 12th. We had a very small wedding since we have more important things in life right now than having a large wedding. We had about 45 people there. My group was all family because my family is huge and only a couple close friends while Andy's group was a small group of family because his family is small and alot of friends. I was so happy with how everything turned out. So a big thanks Daddy who made it all possible and to everyone else who helped along the way. We love y'all! I would have to say married life doesn't feel much different from boyfriend and girlfriend life other than me being a Turner now. I just love to hear people call me Mrs. Turner :) I am so lucky to have Andy as my husband...he is the best. Moving on (pun intended) we are moving on April 9th into are brand new house. We are soooo excited. The wait is finally over! Now for a little bit of bad news. Thursday night Andy and I had to make a trip to the ER. We went to dinner and I went potty and found that I was spotting when I told the doctor on call that I was told my placenta is too close to my cervix she wanted me to come in immediately. We were there for a couple of hours and everything turned out fine with our little Camryn but I am now on bedrest. YUCK! I have only been on it for 2 days and I am already going crazy so hopefully I won't be on it much longer. Although having Mama come over and make me biscuits and gravy while pampering me isn't all that bad haha. Now last thing...I felt Cam kick for my first time last night at about 10 pm. Of course it was late at night because she is a night owl like her mommy. Everyone has been telling me that it is her way of saying I'm ok! It was great to feel that...made me tear up a little bit.Thursday, March 18, 2010
It's a.....GIRL!
So it has been forever since I posted on here and I swear I am going to get better at this! Well we went to the doctor on Tuesday the 16th and our sweet little angel's heartbeat was 144 beats per minute. We went in and got our ultrasound and it was about 15 minutes before we found our it was a little girlie in there. :) I think everyone pretty much thought we were having a boy because my sister Katy, stepsister Brittany, and 2 of Andy's girl friends are having girls so we we thought oh yeah we must have a boy on the way but now we stand corrected. That is not the way the system works. Andy was really hoping for a boy (which most guys do) but he is happy with our girl. I know he will be even more happy once he sees how much love daddys get from their daughters. :) Another little tid bit of information...we were planning on naming our girl Emma Kay, well that has changed due to its popularity right now. Emma has been in the top 3 most popular girl names since 2003 so that changed our minds on the name. Our new name is.....Camryn Kay Turner. Her pictures are above...the top one is showing that she is a girl, the second one is of her feet, and the last one is of her face and tummy (which is a little freaky right now considering she looks a bit alien-ish).Tuesday, February 16, 2010
New baby news
We will go back in exactly a month from now, so March 16th we will find out the sex of our little soccer player or cheerleader :) As for names, Emma Kay won by a landslide and Mason won by a few votes over Colton. We are still undecided because I am a bigger fan of Mason and Andy is a bigger fan of Colton so we are torn. No names are set in stone yet, although I am very eager to do so!
Now I want to have a little voting contest to see what everyone thinks we are having...so...comment to tell me your vote please!! :) I know I am dork but I just really like to hear everyone's opinion.

The Name Game!
Also we have pretty much finalized our name choices and we would like to hear everyone's input on your favorites. We don't want your opinion if you don't like them though :) Our girl middle name is set to be Kay after Andy's wonderful mother and it's just a pretty name so that works out perfectly. Our boy middle name is most likely Andrew after Johnny Andrew Turner (Andy). So here are our names
Boys: Mason Andrew Turner or Colton Andrew Turner
Girls: Emma Kay Turner or Jane Kay Turner
I also really like Hailey Kay but Andy isn't a fan at all :( Oh and one last thing, we took a trip to Frisco for Andy's niece's birthday party and who knew we would get gifts ourselves?! Andy's sister Kristin and brother in law Sean bought us our crib and his mother and father bought us our crib mattress. Yay!! So again big thanks to y'all!

We got to see our baby!
:)
Now for some news that was a little crazy. While getting my ultrasound the tech said "Has anyone ever told you that you have a bicornuate uterus?" Of course I said "No, what is that?" Dr. White explained to me that my uterus is shaped like a heart instead of a normal uterus shape. The reason why it is shaped like that is because it didn't fully develop while I was in my mom's belly! So basically what it means for the baby is that since I pretty much have two sides to my uterus (which the two are still connected) the baby is living in only one side. Now what it means for me is that most the time the baby has to be taken earlier than the due date and I have a much higher chance for having to have a C section because in most cases the baby becomes breached. Although I do not know alot about it...I am trying to not get worried because my doctor didn't seem worried at all! Our next appointment is February 16th! I will continue to update.
