The day has finally arrived!!

Daddy, Mommy, and Camryn at Brandon & Stephenie's wedding! I'm getting so big and it is time for Camryn to come. We went to the specialist on Wednesday the 21st and Dr. Kirshon told us nothing has changed....her bowel still looks exactly the same and it isn't dilating so that is great news. He said there is a less than 1% chance that it is Cystic Fibrosis and there is still a chance it could be Hirschsprungs which is caused by a bowel obstruction and would call for surgery to remove part of her intestine. Dr. Kirshon really thinks it is just hard poo that will come out in her first few days of life which would be great!! Now after we talked about all that...Dr. Kirshon told us that Camryn should be born no later than the following Friday the 30th. So yesterday the 22nd we went to Dr. White (our normal doctor) and we informed him of the news and he set up our delivery. We will go into the hospital the 28th at 5 o clock and I will get meds to start the process. Dr. White said she will be born on the 29th of July! YAY YAY YAY...We are so excited and we plan to enjoy our last weekend without Camie sleeping and hanging out. Everyone is welcome to come see us in the hospital. If I don't answer my phone you can call Andy if you're planning to come visit at 979 324 8313 and if you try Andy first and he doesn't answer you can call me at 832 374 4870. Oh also...as of Wednesday Camryn was already 7 lbs. 5 oz. she is in the 60th percentile...so she is a big girl :) Hope to see y'all when Camie is born.

My BIG belly!

So I had to post a picture of the newest addition to the Gates family, Riley Kathryn! I am so excited to have another amazing niece. Every time I am around Riley I cannot put her down...I think it may be an indication that I am very ready for Camryn to get here!! I also posted a picture of Brittany and I at her baby shower for Aubrie. I believe Brittany is around 33 weeks in the picture and I am 36 weeks. I am 36 weeks as well in the picture alone. Ok so as of yesterday I am 37 weeks...ahh I can't believe we only have 3 more weeks to wait. Andy and I are so ready for her to get here and have been trying to convince Dr. White to induce a little early. He said he would induce at 39 or 40 weeks if I start dilating which as of our appointment yesterday I have not done so at all. Dr. White said that I am starting to efface a little bit and that she is really really low which he said may make me go into labor on my own! Camryn's heartbeat was 140 yesterday and she is so active it's crazy. So in the remaining 3 weeks we will continue to have weekly check ups with Dr. White and we have our last appointment with Dr. Kirshon (the specialist) on the 21st to check up on her echogenic bowel. We are praying that nothing has changed since last time! Ahhhhhhh I am sooooo excited for her to get here!!

Things are looking up..

So above is Miss Camryn Kay...she has her hand in a fist up by her eye. I love being able to get the 3d/4d ultrasounds. They are so neat but who know she could look totally different from what she looks like here when she is born. As for now (by looking at the picture) Andy and I are thinking we have a bald little girl with big lips, chubby cheeks, and a little button nose. We can't wait to meet her in person and see what she really looks like. Ok on to the doctor news...We had appointments with our regular doctor, Dr. White and our specialist, Dr. Kirshon. Camryn's heartbeat was 145 when it was checked at Dr. White's office. At Dr. Kirshon's office is where we find out all the important news. He checked her bowel again and found that it hasn't gotten worse and her bowel isn't dilating so he pretty much ruled out that it's a bowel obstruction. Thank God for that because she won't have to have surgery when she is born if this is the case. The bowel that is echogenic is her large intestine which is also good news because most of the time for it to be cystic fibrosis it's the small intestine that is echogenic. Although it can be the large intestine, it is rare. So he kept our chances of cystic fibrosis at 10% but seemed hopeful that it's not. He set our chances of it being nothing at a hard 80% YaY! So as of now he really made us feel like she just had some really hard poo poo stuck in there but things can always change (keep your fingers crossed that it won't). We will go back to visit Dr. Kirshon in 3 weeks to see if the echogenic bowel has grown or dilated. As of right now...we will still have Camryn at the same hospital with Dr. White unless things take a turn for the worse but we have faith and know that it wont. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and more wouldn't hurt to keep our little chubbby cheeked baby safe :) Love y'all!

Not so great news..

Ok...so before I start I want to talk about my ultrasound pictures. The top two are in 3d and you can see Camryn's face and you can already tell she has her Daddy's big lips :) If you look at the third pic down you will see our little sunshine shooting us the finger...my guess is she really wanted to be left alone. The last picture is just the profile of her face. Now, on to the less exciting news. Friday the 18th, Andy and I went to the doctor for a normal check up and our doctor had us get an ultrasound to make sure my fluid levels were good. After our ultrasound we went in to see the doctor, which I actually saw the midwife that appointment because Dr. White was out of town. When she came in she told us that the ultrasound tech had found that our baby had an echogenic bowel which is a bright white spot in her large intestine. Of course like any normal parents would do...we got worried and started asking her questions. She just kept saying we don't know anything we will have to send you to a specialist. So we got an appointment set up for Wednesday the 23rd with Dr. Kirshon at Houston Perinatal Associates who specializes in high risk pregnancies. So yesterday we went and saw him and he looked at little Camryn and said that there is definitely an echogenic bowel which he basically explained is calcified meconium. He told us that there is a 10% chance she has cystic fibrosis, a small chance that it could be a bowel blockage and she would have to have part of her intestine removed when she is born and she would have to wear a bag to use the restroom in, and there is a 70 to 80% chance that it could end up being nothing. I know that 70 to 80% chance of it being nothing is awesome but I just cant stop thinking about that 10% chance. It has been kind of hard on me but Andy is helping me keep my head up. Of course I have been making the biggest mistake ever by reading online about everything we have found out and I just scare myself more. Nothing will be known for sure about little Camie's condition until she is born but we are praying for the best. We go back next Wednesday to both doctors and we will find out if it has gotten better, worse, or has stayed the same, once we know this then the percentages may change. To those of you who have called me in the past few days...I most likely haven't returned your calls and I am very sorry for that and hope you can understand. I appreciate everyone's concern but it is just hard for me to continually explain it multiple times when all it does is make me cry and worry. I am trying to keep my mind off of it because nothing can be done to change it we will just have to wait and see. Please keep our daughter in your prayers. Thanks!

And we're waiting and waiting and waiting.....

So not much has changed at all. We had another appointment with Dr White and Camryn's heartbeat was 156. Much higher than usual but nothing at all to worrry about. Now it has all become a waiting game. I feel like the weeks are passing so slowly now, its ridiculous! We offically have everything ready for her arrival. There is not one thing I would be worried about if she came in the next couple of weeks. Ok moving on...Andy's friends threw him a guys baby shower and it was called "Pistols and Pampers" All his buddies went out to his friend Billy's house and shot guns and enjoyed themselves. Each guest brought a box of pampers for Camryn so a big thanks to everyone who was a part of it. Camryn really appreciates Andy's friends because she now has a place to poo :) I look awful but wanted the out of towners to see my big belly!

Another appointment down!

So alot hasn't changed since last post. We went to visit Dr White yesterday and we heard her heartbeat which was 144 bpm. Every time I hear the heartbeat it is like the first time. I can't help but grin a little :) Last week I did the gestational diabetes test, turns out I do not have diabetes or as Wilford Brimley would say diabeetus. What I did find out is that I am borderline anemic. When I asked the doctor what that means for me he said "It means you're pregnant." He wasn't worried about it at all. He just told me to start taking over the counter iron pills. I am less than thrilled because I heard 1. It makes your tee tee funny 2. It makes you constipated and 3. It makes your breath stink. As if I'm not feeling attractive enough right now I have to add this iron to my life haha. Oh well anything to keep baby Camryn healthy. Little Camryn is so active...I feel her kick all the time sometimes she even likes to keep Mommy up at night. She is around 15 inches long right now and weighs just over two pounds according to my book. Onto another topic...I got to keep Hayden on Tuesday and I just have to share these sweet pictures of her!

Showered again!

So not much has changed since my last blog except I had my second shower :) Andy's sister and mother threw Camryn and I a beautiful shower in Bryan! It was at a church there in town in a big pretty room. We had some delicious food....chicken salad of course and some punch I could just about die for. There were cute little favor bags filled with chocolate. I got three of them and have pretty much destroyed my supply...surprise surprise. We all know that all the teeth in my mouth are sweet teeth. So a big thanks to Aunt Kristin and Mimi for throwing a great shower for Camryn and I. Also thanks to everyone who was a part of it. Update on little Camie...she is soooo active it's crazy. I seriously feel her moving every hour and sometimes she kicks so hard I see it on the outside of my stomach. I love it so much. Now that our baby showers are complete..we pretty much have everything we need. I never thought we would get this much stuff but we did and we are so thankful. Miss Camryn is set and we are ready and waiting for her arrival.

Yummy food and cake!

The chocolate filled favor bags....the tags had an elephant and said Welcome Camryn Kay Turner

A very smart gift from my sister in law Kristin :)

Me with all my gifts....Camryn will need to look at these so she can see how much people spoil her

The hostesses and I...thank you both so much. It was great!

Keeps getting better!

So its been a while since I have posted on here and a lot has gone on. First I will tell you about our last appointment with Dr White. I was taken off bed rest the Monday after I was in the hospital...thank god! Also my placenta has moved up away from my cervix and the baby is breached...The doctor said that it can change but didn't sound too hopeful for the change. I was not at all shocked considering my condition with my uterus. We were already kind of expecting a C section. Who knows it all could change and I could be having her natural when the time comes. Either way I am happy as long as she gets here. :) Oh and when we had our ultrasound she was grabbing onto her toes with both of her hands. I didn't post pictures though because the two we got are no good. On to other news...Andy's Jetta is now resting in piece or actually probably resting in pieces. The VW finally bit the dust recently and he is now an owner of a 2010 Honda Accord which we are both happy about. Next topic, this past weekend my wonderful sisters threw me a baby shower for Camryn! It was great. There was so many cute details...like pickles and a candy bar! My sisters really know me too well. Camryn got extremely spoiled at the shower. So spoiled in fact that I ended up having to go to target with my mother in law to register for some more stuff for my next shower in Bryan with Andy's side! Also we have moved into our new house and we are lovingggggg it!

Andy carrying me into our house for the first time.

My wonderful sisters who threw Camryn and I the cutest shower ever!

Food, decorations, and candy bar at my shower :)

Look how spoiled we got! Big thanks to my sisters and everyone who was a part of it!

Think Camie has enough stuff yet?? :)

Moving, Marriage and Bedrest!

So Andy and I are officially married as of March 12th. We had a very small wedding since we have more important things in life right now than having a large wedding. We had about 45 people there. My group was all family because my family is huge and only a couple close friends while Andy's group was a small group of family because his family is small and alot of friends. I was so happy with how everything turned out. So a big thanks Daddy who made it all possible and to everyone else who helped along the way. We love y'all! I would have to say married life doesn't feel much different from boyfriend and girlfriend life other than me being a Turner now. I just love to hear people call me Mrs. Turner :) I am so lucky to have Andy as my husband...he is the best. Moving on (pun intended) we are moving on April 9th into are brand new house. We are soooo excited. The wait is finally over! Now for a little bit of bad news. Thursday night Andy and I had to make a trip to the ER. We went to dinner and I went potty and found that I was spotting when I told the doctor on call that I was told my placenta is too close to my cervix she wanted me to come in immediately. We were there for a couple of hours and everything turned out fine with our little Camryn but I am now on bedrest. YUCK! I have only been on it for 2 days and I am already going crazy so hopefully I won't be on it much longer. Although having Mama come over and make me biscuits and gravy while pampering me isn't all that bad haha. Now last thing...I felt Cam kick for my first time last night at about 10 pm. Of course it was late at night because she is a night owl like her mommy. Everyone has been telling me that it is her way of saying I'm ok! It was great to feel that...made me tear up a little bit.

It's a.....GIRL!

So it has been forever since I posted on here and I swear I am going to get better at this! Well we went to the doctor on Tuesday the 16th and our sweet little angel's heartbeat was 144 beats per minute. We went in and got our ultrasound and it was about 15 minutes before we found our it was a little girlie in there. :) I think everyone pretty much thought we were having a boy because my sister Katy, stepsister Brittany, and 2 of Andy's girl friends are having girls so we we thought oh yeah we must have a boy on the way but now we stand corrected. That is not the way the system works. Andy was really hoping for a boy (which most guys do) but he is happy with our girl. I know he will be even more happy once he sees how much love daddys get from their daughters. :) Another little tid bit of information...we were planning on naming our girl Emma Kay, well that has changed due to its popularity right now. Emma has been in the top 3 most popular girl names since 2003 so that changed our minds on the name. Our new name is.....Camryn Kay Turner. Her pictures are above...the top one is showing that she is a girl, the second one is of her feet, and the last one is of her face and tummy (which is a little freaky right now considering she looks a bit alien-ish).

New baby news

We had a doctor's appointment today and everything went great! Our baby's heartbeat went down again to 141! I think the baby is trying to tell us something....maybe that it's a boy (going by old wives tales). The heartbeat going down is completely normal, so that's good. I had some blood taken today to check for spina bifida which is basically testing to make sure our baby's spine has closed and fused together at the bottom. So fingers crossed that everything comes back clear with that.

We will go back in exactly a month from now, so March 16th we will find out the sex of our little soccer player or cheerleader :) As for names, Emma Kay won by a landslide and Mason won by a few votes over Colton. We are still undecided because I am a bigger fan of Mason and Andy is a bigger fan of Colton so we are torn. No names are set in stone yet, although I am very eager to do so!

Now I want to have a little voting contest to see what everyone thinks we are having...so...comment to tell me your vote please!! :) I know I am dork but I just really like to hear everyone's opinion.

Post your sex opinion because we would love to know!

The Name Game!

So a few new things since the last time I posted anything on here. Andy asked me to marry him ahhhhhhhhhhhh and I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to be his wife and a part of his family. I just have to do this because I am so proud of my gorgeous ring :)

Also we have pretty much finalized our name choices and we would like to hear everyone's input on your favorites. We don't want your opinion if you don't like them though :) Our girl middle name is set to be Kay after Andy's wonderful mother and it's just a pretty name so that works out perfectly. Our boy middle name is most likely Andrew after Johnny Andrew Turner (Andy). So here are our names

Boys: Mason Andrew Turner or Colton Andrew Turner

Girls: Emma Kay Turner or Jane Kay Turner

I also really like Hailey Kay but Andy isn't a fan at all :( Oh and one last thing, we took a trip to Frisco for Andy's niece's birthday party and who knew we would get gifts ourselves?! Andy's sister Kristin and brother in law Sean bought us our crib and his mother and father bought us our crib mattress. Yay!! So again big thanks to y'all!

POST YOUR COMMENTS ON FAVORITE NAMES :)

We got to see our baby!

So the day finally came that we got to see our baby. Yesterday, Andy and I went to our second appointment with Dr. White and we got our ultrasound done. He/She was moving around so much (basically jumping around) it was really neat to see. The heartbeat slowed down a little to 155 beats per minute and he/she was 10.4 centimeters long from head to rump. Dr said it is developing great! The baby is still due on August 6th and I am 13 weeks as of yesterday. Here are two pictures of sweet little baby Turner. I think the baby may be practicing diving in the bottom picture
:)Now for some news that was a little crazy. While getting my ultrasound the tech said "Has anyone ever told you that you have a bicornuate uterus?" Of course I said "No, what is that?" Dr. White explained to me that my uterus is shaped like a heart instead of a normal uterus shape. The reason why it is shaped like that is because it didn't fully develop while I was in my mom's belly! So basically what it means for the baby is that since I pretty much have two sides to my uterus (which the two are still connected) the baby is living in only one side. Now what it means for me is that most the time the baby has to be taken earlier than the due date and I have a much higher chance for having to have a C section because in most cases the baby becomes breached. Although I do not know alot about it...I am trying to not get worried because my doctor didn't seem worried at all!

Our next appointment is February 16th! I will continue to update.

Shocking News!

So as most of you know Andy and I are expecting our first child together..crazy I know! Neither of us were expecting this nor were we prepared but we are both taking steps together to get everything ready for our new baby. Although we were a little shocked at first we have both become used to the idea and are very excited. We had our first doctor's appointment on the 11th with Doctor White who we both liked (I left my old doctor because she was a freak). We got to hear the hearbeat which was the greatest thing and it was 168 beats per minute. As of our appointment the baby is due on August 6th, 2010 but he said it could change when I get my first ultrasound on the 27th...I can't wait to see our little baby growing. :)
