The day has finally arrived!!

Daddy, Mommy, and Camryn at Brandon & Stephenie's wedding! I'm getting so big and it is time for Camryn to come. We went to the specialist on Wednesday the 21st and Dr. Kirshon told us nothing has changed....her bowel still looks exactly the same and it isn't dilating so that is great news. He said there is a less than 1% chance that it is Cystic Fibrosis and there is still a chance it could be Hirschsprungs which is caused by a bowel obstruction and would call for surgery to remove part of her intestine. Dr. Kirshon really thinks it is just hard poo that will come out in her first few days of life which would be great!! Now after we talked about all that...Dr. Kirshon told us that Camryn should be born no later than the following Friday the 30th. So yesterday the 22nd we went to Dr. White (our normal doctor) and we informed him of the news and he set up our delivery. We will go into the hospital the 28th at 5 o clock and I will get meds to start the process. Dr. White said she will be born on the 29th of July! YAY YAY YAY...We are so excited and we plan to enjoy our last weekend without Camie sleeping and hanging out. Everyone is welcome to come see us in the hospital. If I don't answer my phone you can call Andy if you're planning to come visit at 979 324 8313 and if you try Andy first and he doesn't answer you can call me at 832 374 4870. Oh also...as of Wednesday Camryn was already 7 lbs. 5 oz. she is in the 60th percentile...so she is a big girl :) Hope to see y'all when Camie is born.

My BIG belly!

So I had to post a picture of the newest addition to the Gates family, Riley Kathryn! I am so excited to have another amazing niece. Every time I am around Riley I cannot put her down...I think it may be an indication that I am very ready for Camryn to get here!! I also posted a picture of Brittany and I at her baby shower for Aubrie. I believe Brittany is around 33 weeks in the picture and I am 36 weeks. I am 36 weeks as well in the picture alone. Ok so as of yesterday I am 37 weeks...ahh I can't believe we only have 3 more weeks to wait. Andy and I are so ready for her to get here and have been trying to convince Dr. White to induce a little early. He said he would induce at 39 or 40 weeks if I start dilating which as of our appointment yesterday I have not done so at all. Dr. White said that I am starting to efface a little bit and that she is really really low which he said may make me go into labor on my own! Camryn's heartbeat was 140 yesterday and she is so active it's crazy. So in the remaining 3 weeks we will continue to have weekly check ups with Dr. White and we have our last appointment with Dr. Kirshon (the specialist) on the 21st to check up on her echogenic bowel. We are praying that nothing has changed since last time! Ahhhhhhh I am sooooo excited for her to get here!!

Things are looking up..

So above is Miss Camryn Kay...she has her hand in a fist up by her eye. I love being able to get the 3d/4d ultrasounds. They are so neat but who know she could look totally different from what she looks like here when she is born. As for now (by looking at the picture) Andy and I are thinking we have a bald little girl with big lips, chubby cheeks, and a little button nose. We can't wait to meet her in person and see what she really looks like. Ok on to the doctor news...We had appointments with our regular doctor, Dr. White and our specialist, Dr. Kirshon. Camryn's heartbeat was 145 when it was checked at Dr. White's office. At Dr. Kirshon's office is where we find out all the important news. He checked her bowel again and found that it hasn't gotten worse and her bowel isn't dilating so he pretty much ruled out that it's a bowel obstruction. Thank God for that because she won't have to have surgery when she is born if this is the case. The bowel that is echogenic is her large intestine which is also good news because most of the time for it to be cystic fibrosis it's the small intestine that is echogenic. Although it can be the large intestine, it is rare. So he kept our chances of cystic fibrosis at 10% but seemed hopeful that it's not. He set our chances of it being nothing at a hard 80% YaY! So as of now he really made us feel like she just had some really hard poo poo stuck in there but things can always change (keep your fingers crossed that it won't). We will go back to visit Dr. Kirshon in 3 weeks to see if the echogenic bowel has grown or dilated. As of right now...we will still have Camryn at the same hospital with Dr. White unless things take a turn for the worse but we have faith and know that it wont. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and more wouldn't hurt to keep our little chubbby cheeked baby safe :) Love y'all!
